EDUCATORS

All members of our education community—whether public or private, leaders, friends, or families—are invited to come together to share the latest information, resources, and best practices.

Here’s what’s happening in the Edina education community to early childhood educationt.

The 2006 MN Governor's Summit on School Readiness encouraged more coordination between early childhood programs and kindergarten. EPEE has helped to develop opportunities for early childhood practioners and Edina Public Schools staff to meet and share information.

In 2008, Edina Kindergarten Teachers met to identify Power Standards --the most important skills students need as they enter Kindergarten. These Edina Standards, along with Minnesota Kindergarten Academic Standard and Minnesota Early Childhood Indicators of Progress were shared at a symposium in November 2008.
